Para la temporada de premios de Hollywood, los Critics' Choice son la primera gala importante; para la televisión, son al mismo tiempo la última y la primera, pues en sus nominaciones había mezcla de series de la temporada pasada y estrenos de esta 2016/17. En Blog de cine tendrán los ganadores del apartado cinematográfico, mientras en el televisivo ha habido pocas novedades con respecto a los pasados premios Emmy.
Las que ha habido, eso sí, han sido bastante notables, y han llegado en las categorías interpretativas, donde 'Westworld' se ha estrenado de la mejor manera posible en cuanto a galardones, con premios para sus dos protagonistas femeninas, y donde 'The Crown' y hasta 'The Walking Dead' han conseguido verse reconocidos por los críticos. Eso sí, en miniseries, 'The people vs O.J. Simpson' ha arrasado.
